My Helmet Cam
Equipment Used

1. Sony DCR-HC42 Handycam
(uses mini dv tapes)
2. Helmet cam and battery pack
3 . Lanc Remote Control
(starting and stopping recording)
4. Camelbak backpack
5. CD Case and Piece of Foam

This is the helment cam nside its aluminium protector. I bought it on eBay.

I bought this cd box in best buy to protect my sony handycam. I live in Irlenad but bought it on holidays.
I put a hole in the case so the remote controls can connect to the handycam, above you see "A/V" and "LANC". A/V is to connect the helmet cam to camera. The lanc is a remote control to start stop recording.
Here is my Sony DCR-HC42 + protective foam in the cd case.
On the side of the case I added some keyrings, these are to take the slack on the leads so they do not pull out of their connections.

Here is a pic of the Lanc and A/V leads entering into the box.
Here is how it looks on the outside of the box.
